Live Bar, September 14 news recently, O’Neal talked about Rodman in The Big Podcast podcasting program.
When talking about the worst teammates he has ever met in his career, O’Neal said, “the worst teammates? Dennis Rodman. He is a great player, but he makes things difficult. You want to gather everyone, but the management allows this person to do whatever he wants.”
“We had to be there one hour before the game, but he didn’t come 15 minutes before the game started, eating chicken and rice. When the coach was lecturing, he went to take a cold bath and then went on stage to grab 15-20 rebounds for you.”
Rodman worked with O’Neal briefly in the 1998-99 season. On April 15, 1999, the Lakers and Rodman dismissed the contract due to being late for several training sessions.
