Bill Russell was born in Louisiana, USA in 1934. At the draft conference in 1956, Russell was selected by the St. Louis Hawks in the first round and then joined the Celtics through trading. As the main center of the Green Army dynasty in the 1960 s, Russell was regarded as the most outstanding defensive center in NBA history. Today, the NBA Finals MVP trophy is named after Russell. On July 31, 2022, Russell died at the age of 88. His achievements have already been written into the NBA Hall of Honor.
