O’Neal forwarded an interview during his previous visit to the PBD podcasting program. O’Neal was asked why he never talked rubbish to Jordan.
O’Neal replied, “you don’t want to provoke God. You have to stay away from Jordan and don’t mess with him.”
Jordan retired briefly after winning three successive championships in 1993. O’Neal, who had just joined the league at that time, was once considered to be his next league appearance. In the 1994-95 season, Jordan returned at the end of the season, and the second round of the playoffs was eliminated by The Magic led by O’Neal before fully recovering the state.
However, in the following 1995-96 season, Jordan made a comeback, leading the bull to sweep the magic in the east, and finally won the championship. This also indirectly prompted O’Neal to leave the east.
