Live Bar, September 13 -at the jazz press conference today, Jazz general manager zanick talked about jazz’s recent series of deals.
He first stressed: “The main reason for these changes during the offseason is that we have been eliminated and we need to re-plan.”
He went on to talk about why he chose to complete the deal about Mitchell with the Cavaliers: “Sexton must participate in this deal. If we want to reach an agreement, then we need him to participate in this deal. This is the best offer. I think for them (Cavaliers), getting Mitchell can increase their chances of winning the championship. In order to get a good return, you must also give up some good players, so of course they also give up a lot.”
In the previous transaction, the Jazz sent out Mitchell and got Sexton (signed first and changed later), markanin and rookie defender (14 in the first round in 2022) Austrian peer-Abaki, there are also three unprotected first-round signatures (2025, 2027 and 2029) and two first-round signing swap qualifications (2026 and 2028).
