Live Bar, September 17th recently, former NBA player Stephen Jackson, Saint of war, talked about The past between Kidd and Spurs on The All The Smoke program.
In the finals of 2003, Jackson won the championship with Spurs, and the opponent happened to be Kidd’s basketable nets.
Jackson said: “Kidd was very close to joining Spurs in 2003. I know this. Tony (Parker) will leave and I will stay. That whole summer was about this. Everyone was on the (transaction) list just to get Kidd. That summer my agent told me that if Kidd came to Spurs, then I would continue to Spurs. Otherwise, I will go to the Eagle, because Spurs will leave Tony. I, Kidd, Ginobili, Duncan, this squad is great. We will win many championships.”
At the same time, Kidd himself who visited the program also said that he was very close to joining Spurs.
