“I think Rudi (Gobel) is one of the best defensive players in NBA history. He has enough hardware (strength) to prove this,” Downs said, “I think I am one of the best attacking players in NBA history and one of the most talented players. Therefore, putting us together can give full play to our all-round talents.”
In the 2021-22 regular season, Downs scored 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds 3.6 assists 1 steals 1.1 cap, and Gobel scored 15.6 points, 14.7 rebounds 1.1 assists 2.1 cap.
