Xu Qiang entered the youth team of Jiangsu province in 1973 and entered the first team of Jiangsu province in 1977. His career was only in Jiangsu. Xu Qiang served as the head coach of the second team of Jiangsu men’s basketball in 1993 and the coach of the National Youth men’s basketball in 1999. Xu Qiang has also served as the head coach of Jiangsu men’s basketball for many times and is currently the assistant coach of Jiangsu team.
